Toronto: Goethe-LIFT Filmmaker Residence

Every two years, together with the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT), the Goethe-Institut Toronto invites German filmmakers to Canada.

LIFT and the Goethe-Institut are interested above all in establishing long-term and sustainable contacts between residency fellows and the Canadian film scene. The organizers will therefore present the works of the residency artists in a series of workshops, talks, school events and film screenings.

The programme was established in 2012. Since then, Dagie Brundert, the duo OJOBOCA, Anja Dornieden and Juan David González Monroy have been guests in Toronto.
