The Goethe-Institut is looking for a Project Coordinator for Educational Services (m/f/d) to start on 01.07.2024. The successful applicant will be offered a temporary contract for 1 year.
Employment will be full-time with 39 hours per week. The position will be remunerated at £32,880 p.a.in accordance with the current remuneration scheme for local staff at the Goethe-Institut London. Annual Leave starts with 26 days plus Bank Holidays. This increases depending on length of service. The Goethe-Institut also offers a contributory pension scheme.
Duties comprise:
- Organisational support and implementation, including preparation and follow-up, of projects for educational services within the Gimagine project (e.g. school visits, tour planning, motivational programmes for pupils, competitions, information events, visitor trips, author readings, etc.).
- Conceptualisation and creation of advertising and marketing materials, incl. processing of orders as well as material ordering & shipping, warehousing & updating.
- Support of digital projects and administrative support in the implementation of digital teaching technologies (e.g. GIMAGINE Award with Moodle 4.3).
- Representing the GIMAGINE project, incl. participation in fairs and conferences
- Budget monitoring and planning, administration, and reporting
- Administrative and organisational tasks (providing information and advice, maintaining and establishing contacts, supporting the Head of Language Department)
- Close cooperation with the Advisor for German in the UK and with the Educational Services team
- Cooperation with the Goethe-Instituts in Europe
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the UK education system
- Demonstrable experience in project management, public relations and marketing
- Thorough expertise in the fields of education and German as a foreign language, e.g. through professional experience
- Flexibility and reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Strong social and intercultural skills
- Team and communication skills
- High resilience
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Very good IT skills: MS Office, digital learning platforms
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Willingness to undertake business trips in the UK and abroad
