The Goethe-Institut in India offers the German teachers various workshops and seminars to enhance their teaching skills. 

  • DLL is a blended learning Teachers Training Programm. One should have minimum B2 German Language Proficient to take part in this training. 
  • DTG: Diploma in Teaching German"  - a distance learning course, an initiative of the Indra Gandhi Open University in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut in India. 
  • Local and national teachers training programmes (German Teachers conference, German Teachers meet etc.) 
  • The Grüne Diplom is the German Teachers Training Diploma exclusively for the ones who would want to work as German teachers in the Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan. One should have minimum C1 German Language proficiency to be a part of this programm. The Grüne Diplom holders are eligible to work as German teacher in Goethe-Institut all over the world.

Deutsch lehren lernen (DLL)

“Deutsch lehren lernen” (DLL), the new series of professional development and continuing education courses offered by the Goethe-Institut puts the attention on the German language classroom and provides teachers with necessary resources and expertise for all instructional contexts from elementary to adult education

DTG: Diplom in Teaching German

In cooperation with the Indira Ghandi National Open University (IGNOU)  and the University of Vienna , the Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan has developed the diploma programme “Teaching German as a Foreign Language” (DTG).

Das Grüne Diplom

The Grüne Diplom was introduced in 2004 and constitutes the standard basic qualification for teachers of German as a Foreign language at Goethe-Instituts worldwide.
