Library of Things

The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata launches a new initiative by opening a Library of Things, an innovative, economical, and environment-friendly project, for its members.

As part of Goethe-Institut’s sustainability drive the Library of Things expands the existing concept of a library with books and digital media and goes beyond the conventional exchanging and sharing of books and audiovisuals to include borrowing of practical items. These items include toolboxes, speakers, sport articles, portable tent, and rucksack, binocular and telescope, sewing machine, DVD players and many more.

The Library of Things will be accessible from Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Library membership will be required to borrow items from the Library of Things. Please contact the library desk for more information.
