The genocide of the European Jews had long been underway when high-ranking members of the Nazi regime met in a villa on Berlin's Wannsee on 20 January 1942 to organize the "Final Solution to the Jewish Question". Based on historical documents and staged as an intimate play, the result is a film that is as oppressive as it is an insight into the bureaucratic banality of the Nazi extermination machinery, as demure as it is shocking.
