The Goethe-Institut Kolkata will host a series of interactive workshops for students of partner schools led by media artists Juliana and Andrey Vrady.

The Interactive Empathy Session: Human × Emotions × Machines invites students to explore emotions, perception and self-expression through artistic experiments and contemporary technologies. In a playful and accessible way, participants reflect on how emotions are recognised, expressed and interpreted in different social and cultural contexts.

Through short interactive exercises, visual experiments and collective reflection, students experience how emotions can be translated into colours, shapes and movement. Human perception and technological interpretation are placed side by side - encouraging participants to compare, question and discuss how emotions are communicated and understood.

The workshops create an open space for dialogue about feelings, empathy and communication. By combining artistic practice with technological exploration, the sessions encourage curiosity, creativity and critical thinking about the role of technology in everyday life.

No prior knowledge of art or technology is required.
