The library is open to the general public. Reference use of the library and information centre is free of charge. To borrow books and other materials, you need a valid library card.
Library cards are available for the following fees:
A joining fee of Rupees 100 has to be paid.
Rs. 300,- per person utilisation fee for 3 Months
Rs. 600,- per person utilisation fee for 6 Months Rs.1000,- per person utilisation fee for 1 year
Our wide range of German literature has been updated by several new books, CDs and DVDs from approximately 2000 titles.
We also provide a large number of exciting and significant German novels, Literature for the young, graphic novels and other reading material, audio CDs and audio books for each level on a rental basis.
You will also be provided with non-fiction and reference books for all the different topics, textbooks and books on grammar.
A series of German magazines (Der Spiegel, Brigitte, Art, Geo, Focus, Stern, Schöner Wohnen, and EPD Film), current weekly and daily newspapers (Die Zeit, Süddeutsche Zeitung) will give you an opportunity to be exposed to information about the daily events and current affairs in Germany.
4 Computers with internet access have been installed for enquiry and faster research purposes.

The loan period may be extended, provided that other library users have not reserved the materials. For renewals, please contact our library.
