The application for a course opens only one course in advance (for super-intensive courses about 2 months in advance; for weekend and intensive courses about 4 months in advance).

The course applications for November 2017 super-intensive courses will open on 4th September 2017
The course applications for January 2018 intensive courses (weekdays) will open on 4th September 2017
The course applications for January 2018 weekend courses will  open on 4th September 2017

On commencement of admissions for the particular batch desired by you, we will send a confirmation mail with details about the course and instructions for the payment to be made to confirm your admission.
The course fees are payable by a Demand Draft addressed to Max Mueller Bhavan Pune.
 
Before applying to A2 level or above, please ensure that you have completed our international examination successfully for the previous level.

Kindly refer to placement test for A2 level and above.
 
All internal students from courses will get priority admissions for successive levels.
If you live outside Pune, please send the fees by post/ courier.

1. General Requirements
Course participants must be at least 16 years of age. In the case of under-age candidates (below 18 years), one of the parents must sign the registration form.
A registration form is necessary when registering for the first course. If there are changes in the personal details such as change of address or telephone number, the students should inform the language dept. office accordingly at the earliest.

Admissions for courses will start as follows: Students enrolled in a course will get priority above other candidates for admission in the next course. Thereafter the remaining admissions will be open to all ex- students and other applicants as per waiting lists. Please contact us via email so that we can enter your details in the waiting list. You will receive a mail from us informing you about your waiting list number. Thus, from the beginning of each session admissions for the next course will start. The exact date of commencement of waiting list is put up on the webpage in advance. Also, with the commencement of each course admissions for A1 will be open.

2. Terms of Payment
2.1. Course fees are payable only by demand draft addressed to Max Mueller Bhavan Pune payable in Pune. Registration is confirmed only upon payment of the full course fees.
2.2. Registrations via email without payment are accepted only from participants living outside India. Course fees must be paid in full in Indian rupees at the start of the course or immediately on arrival in Pune.

3. Course fees
3.1. The charges valid in the current course prospectus of the Goethe-Institut are part of the contract. The same also are displayed on the webpage.
3.2. Should the participant want to change the date of the course or change to another course, no charge will be levied for the first change. Once the course fees have been paid, it is possible to change to another course that is held during the same calendar year.

4. Cancellation and refunds
4.1 The following conditions apply if the course participant is unable to take part in the course: In case of cancellation 2 weeks prior to the start of the course, the GI will withhold only 10% of the course fee.
In case of cancellation or withdrawal after the course starts, no refunds or credit notes for future courses can be issued, regardless of whether or not the student has already attended the course.
4.2 Cancellations must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the GI.

5. Course level assignment / class size
5.1. Placement in course levels is based on the placement test conducted at the Goethe-Institut.
5.2. Our courses have at least 12 and at most 24 participants. If enrolments are insufficient on the starting date, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course. In this case we will offer participants the opportunity to shift to another course or to receive a full refund of the course fee. We regret that we can only conduct courses that have the minimum number of participants by the end of the enrolment period. To avoid cancellations of courses that would have taken place if participants had enrolled on time, we advise students in their own interest to register before the deadline.

6. Responsibilities of participants
Participants are obliged to comply with the course rules and house rules applicable to the Goethe-Institut.

7. Liability of the Goethe-Institut
The liability of GI and its staff is limited to intent and gross negligence. GI also accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force majeur (e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contractual parties).  
Placement Test
Through placement tests and interviews, we can determine your level, create learning goals with you, and choose the best course for you.

Please refer to the guidelines regarding Placement tests:

1. Candidates seeking admission to A1 Level at Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune are not required to appear for any entrance exam.

2. For candidates who have learnt German previously at Institutes apart from Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan and wish to apply to Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune directly for a level higher than A1, are required to clear the respective International Examinations. Kindly refer to the International Examination Schedule.

3. For candidates who have previously appeared for Goethe-Institut examinations please refer to the table below:

4. Registration: Kindly visit the Language Office from Mon – Fri between 10.00 & 16.00 to register for the entrance exams.

5. The entrance exams shall cost INR 1000,- The fees are not refundable & cannot be-transferred to another date.

6. If you do not wish to join the course level indicated by the test and advised by the teacher, you do not need to pay for the admission to the course.

7. The dates for the placement test will be informed by the Language department after enquiry.

8. Each time a candidate appears for an entrance test, the entrance test charges are applicable. The result of the entrance test cannot be carried forward to another course date.
