The Goethe-Institut Myanmar has generously reinforced the Myanmar Photo Archive to build a richer visual archive of Myanmar's history with a special two-year grant. ©Goethe-Institut Myanmar Academy of Care The Academy of Care evolved from the Program of Care (PoC), which began in 2022. Following World Mental Health Day, the Academy of Care is introduced as a capacity-building initiative designed to train individuals to facilitate mental health and psychosocial support programs. Through creative and dynamic teaching methods, the program aims to address mental health challenges, with a focus on trauma cases, over the next two years. ©Goethe-Institut Myanmar Knowledge Through Entertainment Science Film Festival 2025 The Goethe-Institut Myanmar, in collaboration with Myanmar YMCA and other partners, is excited to announce the 14th edition of the Science Film Festival in Myanmar. This year's festival will feature a hybrid format, offering both in-person screenings and online access through a video-on-demand service. The event will take place from November 14 to December 20, 2025. Past Projects ©Goethe-Institut Myanmar Open Call Present Grounds: A Grant for Artistic and Cultural Expression (M/F/D) We invite artists, cultural practitioners, creatives, and experts from across the artistic and cultural fields to apply for a production grant supporting new work, knowledge, and research closely connected with local communities in various areas of Myanmar. This grant aims to foster creative responses to the evolving social and the shifting topographies of culture and community in Myanmar, particularly in light of the challenges communities continue to face in the aftermath of recent events.
