Théâtre du Chocolat (Cameroon) and Theaterhaus Ensemble (Germany)

Three women and three men, three Cameroonians and three Germans. Actors, a dancer and a musician meet on stage. They show to each other what they can do: dance, make music and act. They try to understand each other in different languages, in different arts and through their very different cultural backgrounds. In ever-new combinations, they challenge each other and learn from one another: by singing, dancing waltz to African children’s songs and telling stories.
A joyful play about Comprehending and Uncomprehending in complicated times and, above all, about humor.

In German, French and other languages, suitable for ages 6 and up.

Artistic direction: Rob Vriens | Play, Dance and Music: Clemence Ngantonga Ndzana, Jerome Roger Etoundi, Edouard Eko Efoulou, Günther Henne, Uta Nawrath, Susanne Schyns | Dramaturgy: Susanne Freiling | Assistance: Michael Meyer | Supported by the International Co-production Fund of the Goethe-Institut, and with help from the Goethe-Institut Yaoundé
