ONLINE COURSES (LOCAL EMPLOYEE)
at the Goethe-Institut Kolkata

The Goethe-Institut is looking for a full time (40 Hours / week) committed employee from 01.07.2025 or later (initially limited until 30.06.2026).
The Goethe-Institut is the Federal Republic of Germany’s cultural institute, active worldwide whose aims are to promote knowledge of the German language abroad, to foster international cultural cooperation and to convey a comprehensive image of Germany by providing information on cultural, social, and political life.
In coordination with the Head of Administration and Finance, your main responsibilities as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER, ONLINE COURSES will include:
- Preparation of accounting documents for all online course teachers (reconciliation of class register, fee sheets, fee overview, assignments, etc.) using the dual control principle together with the Language Department Office
- Coordination with the other Administration Departments of the Goethe-Institut in India (w.r.t. TDS)
- Coordination with Language Department Office (online courses) w.r.t TDS
- Update of administration master sheet for all online course teachers
- Coordination with tax advisor w.r.t. to online course teachers and online course participants (TDS, Form 16, proforma and tax invoices, GST, etc.)
- Coordination with central booking center and payment to online course teachers via payment portal
- Learning SAP modules, processing and clearing incoming payments in webshop and SAP, generating SAP reports and processing monthly revenue list, GST calculations
- Assistance in processing refunds (Webshop, Payment Portal etc.)
- Support in the coordination and implementation of new booking system
- Correspondence and support with general administrative tasks
Requirements
- Completed university degree or equivalent knowledge and skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
- Very good coordination and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and autonomously
- High flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- High level of social and intercultural competence
- Willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with administrative work and knowledge of the Goethe-Institut's planning tools
- Good knowledge of office organization and Office365
