Breslau (Wroclaw) was home to Germany’s third largest Jewish community and a thriving centre for Jewish culture before Hitler rose to power. This fascinating and moving documentary traces 14 survivors who share their memories of the place as well as the events that followed their exile. Their return to Breslau to explore the city’s new Jewish community conveys the hope for a new – and better – future.

Followed by a Q&A with film protagonist Anita Lasker-Wallfisch and filmmakers Karin Kaper and Dirk Szuszies, chaired by Mike Levy.
